Still the little “warning” for Android users: Similar to the change from part 1 to part 2 the new Android port for game part 3 is installed as an update. That means the part two content will be replaced. So befor installing it be sure to have the save at the end of v0.37 (the one saying “Save Here”), you need it to start v0.38 and up.

Not really. The game has an Android port on it’s own (on F95zone the download link is in a later post) + cebs is normally porting this game also (incl. the WT mod), and will probably update it soon anyway.
I only can update my Mod when the game is released for public. So far v0.48 is only available for Patrons, not for the public. As far as I know it should be available in the next days.

Not sure what is causing that in your case. Do you already have another port version from me of Grandma’s House installed? Try do uninstall that first and then install my v0.37 version.

Yes, the two Android ports are probably different. Havn’t testet the original one myself, but there you most likely do not have a second save location where you can access and put saves in it
The game itself is installed in …/Android/data/”name of the game port”.
But on most newer devices you do not have full access to the folders there anymore and therefore can’t put saves in it. That’s why I added a second, “accessable” save location into my own ports.
Sorry, that’s not really possible.
I only can give you the advice to have a look at some easier games and mods and check there how modifications to games are made. But you have to know at least the basics in RenPy and the file system of games with that engine.

Not sure what you mean with extracted files, the game part 2 for Android is an APK file you should be able to install/update over the existing game part 1. You really have downloaded the Android version from above?

I’m having some trouble. I downloaded and installed the first chapter(android). I saved at the right place. But after downloading and extracting the files for chapter 2 I don’t know what to do. Could you make a video walkthrough for this?
Hi. If you saved on the right place in game part 1 (where it said “Save Here”), all you have to do in game part 2 is to load that made save. But be aware, only that one save from game part 1 will work in part 2!

I am playing it online on Mac and when I am opening part 3 it says load part 2 end which I already have in my downloads folder but I am unable to load it can you help me, if not can you please tell me where do I place the save folder if I download the game on m Mac
Hi. Unfortunately I am not really a Mac user. The only thing I remember is there should be a folder “Library” in your “home” folder. Maybe you have to activate it in the finder options to be displayed. There you find a sub folder RenPy with all the save folders from the games you have installed on your Mac. In it should be for Grandma’s House a folder with a quite similar name, and finally in it are the game saves stored.
I have a Patreon linked in the Contact where you can use paypal for payment I think.
But again: only if you really want to, I actually do this as a hobby and post it for free, not to gain money.

I’m a bit unsure here. Have you played part 2 from the link below (the one I’ve made for “TheShawThing”? Then you must copy the save made exactly at the game end position “Save Here” from the android folder “…/RenPy_Saves/com.koga3.grandmashousepart2only” to the save folder from part 3 “…/RenPy_Saves/com.koga3.grandmashouse”. Then you can load it there. If you played the standard port for part 2 from above and you want to continue in part 3 then you only must be sure to have made the needed save (again, the position “Save Here” is a must). About the error: It’s hard to help here without further infos, but mostly this happens when loading a wrong save. I have posted some myself for each game part, please check if these are working.

hey man. having a hard time opening the save file for part 3… I am on Mac and I downloaded the files above. when I open the game, there are no save files listed. I am curious how I can get them onto the game on a Mac, having a hard time doing that.
Hi. Unfortunately I don’t have any experiences on Mac systems, can’t really help there. Maybe you know the save location for the part 3 and can copy my save from the start of v0.38 into it. But as said, I actually don’t know myself where this location is on a Mac.
Is it possible to install part 1 and 2 again independent of part 3? I know that you need to overwrite part 2 initially to install part 3, but I’d like to reinstall part 2 afterwards again and have both…
One idea could be setting up a new install file with a slightly different name (e.g. Add p2 to the end of the name) so that it’s not overwritten (and you only install that file after you upgrade to part 3)

Hi. It would probably be possible – but with a big issue. I would have to change the save location for every game part in my ports, otherwise Android still installs it as an update.
But that also means the save transfer from one part to the next is not working anymore. Maybe manually copying the needed save from the old part to the new one works.
I checked that solution already for v0.17 back then, but decided to not do that. Actually the easy game part continuation with the “update install” is a plus for this game.
Sorry if there was some confusion, I still want the main game to be able to auto update with each version. I really like that feature as well. I was just hoping that I could redownload a 2nd version of 0.37 or 0.16 (at the end of parts 1 and 2) afterward that I could keep in addition to the main version that wouldn’t be overwritten. The reason that I would like this feature is so that I can go back and play the old parts 1 and 2 again after having upgraded to part 3.
I currently have 0.39 installed and am running with no issues, I’d just like to be able to go back and replay the old parts, which you can’t do once you’ve upgraded to the part 3 content.
Well, I can try to make special ports for part one and two. But be aware that for part two you would need the end save from part one to start it – which is then not available. You have to copy it manually from the save location part one into the new save location.for part two. Or you already have old saves from part two of course, then you can use these.
That would be awesome. Thanks. I love this game and enjoy replaying sections, which unfortunately is prevented by the separate parts overwriting the previous part, so I can’t wait to be able to go back and play the previous parts again.

Also, the developer added something at the start of part 2 so that you don’t actually need a copy of the save of part 1 in order to play the game (just need to answer some questions), so I am free to play it with no issues whatsoever, which is awesome.

I can’t watch the new Android .38 edition, as it states that I need to save the load after chapter 2 to continue. I always save in intermittent spots and just before the end of each new episode. Not sure exactly when chapter 2 ended, and it won’t let me re-load .37.
Any ideas? Not the techiest guy out there. Thanks.
Seems you missed the save at the end of chapter 2 where you got the info “Save Now”.
If you don’t want to re-install v0.37 again for making that special save I also posted above one at the start of v0.38.
Unzip the file and put it into: …\RenPy_Saves\com.koga3.grandmashouse\
Hi. I assume you also posted on F95zone. Again, please check if the Mod is matching with the game. The Mod v0.38 only works with the game v0.38.If you installed it for the previous game part 2 v0.37 or part 1 v0.16 would of course not work since they have completely different content.
Edit: I was wrong. There seems to be an issue in the gallery. The game itself is working. Since I actually don’t do anything in the gallery I assume it’s something in the base game.

Hi. Since it’s not easy, actually mostly impossible in original Android game versions, to integrate a Mod afterwards, I’m making for most of my Mods lately also Android versions with already integrated Mod (like here for Grandma’s House).

Not really. The game is according F95zone quite linear, so no WT needed. And a gallery unlocker and an Android port already exists.

Finished now the ports for part 1 and part 2 with separate save locations so you can install them along the actual part 3 port.

Thanks Koga3. It took me some time, but I figured it out and had to replay quite a bit. But back up to speed now.
.38 addon is blowing up in-game. May want to start with the gallery items, as exception errors occur every 3-5 frames playing each.
